After School Program

The Boys and Girls Club, in partnership with the Paradise Unified School District, operates an on-site, after-school program at Paradise Ridge Elementary School (PRES). Funded by a major grant from the State of California, the program will provide education, enrichment and recreational opportunities for up to one hundred youth per day.

The program is open to all PRES youth in grades 1 through 6 with an annual membership fee of $100, scholarship applications are available upon request. Due to grant mandates, membership will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Families will be required to attend a membership orientation meeting. The Boys and Girls Club program will operate on school days, Monday through Friday, from end of school day until 6 pm. Membership attendance requirement of four days a week for a minimum of 90 minutes.

The Boys and Girls Club has been providing quality programs to the Paradise community since 1998. All of their programs are developed out of these five core program areas: Character and Leadership Development, Education and Career Development, the Arts, Health and Life Skills, & Sports, Fitness and Recreation. Each day youth will receive a healthy snack, then participate in an hour or more of homework and educational programs and two hours of arts, science, recreation, etc. for enrichment programs.

The mission of the Boys and Girls Club is to inspire and enable ALL young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. They look forward to continuing their mission, in partnership with parents, teachers, and administrators at Paradise Ridge Elementary School. They are committed to developing a successful program and look forward to serving the families of Paradise Ridge Elementary School.
